BREAKING NEWS RIGHT NOW
This Day in History
In the Levant today, marking both the prevalence of and resistance to European incursions, the nation of Lebanon celebrates its independence from France; in a related development that affected now predominant Christian churches throughout Europe, seven hundred and nine years ago, the fifth Pope Clement issued a papal order that mandated the seizure and imprisonment of all members of the Knights Templar organization that had its roots in the Eastern Mediterranean; three hundred eighty-one years ahead of today, the extension of the European Colonial Project expanded further Eastward to include Taiwan where Dutch forces succeeded in establishing control over much of the island; MORE HERE
A Thought for the Day
Almost without exception, just as all the amazing accomplishments of humankind have transpired as a result of collaboration, so too with the deadliest depredations, they have occurred through joint effort, what in both common and legal parlance one might label conspiratorial congruence, so that, say in the event of a convenient assassination that seemed, as if on cue, to loom from the deranged and dastardly deeds of a single murderer, behind the scenes, of such a ‘lone wolf’s’ miraculous manifestation of mayhem, an observer may count on a guarantee that some group has conspired together to commit this horrid homicide, whatever established authorities rail against ‘conspiracy theories’ as the mad talk of unhinged lunatics who want to blame the powers-that-be for acts of butchery that in all likelihood they have actually participated in bringing to pass, not because of random evil or inherently rotten character but because of definite interests and clearly defined goals and objectives of the rulers themselves.

‘LEFT’ CULPABILITY IN ‘POST-TRUTH’ & MORE
A mea culpa, in the event completely apropos and accurate, from the ‘liberals’ and ‘leftists’ who produce England’s The Conversation, a briefing on how and why their counterparts and doppelgangers elsewhere, particularly in the ‘land of the free and the home of the brave,’ long thought to be an ‘exception’ to many immutable mandates, who have engendered mayhem and reaction and treachery and barbarism through a combination of disingenuous and self-serving petty bourgeois nonsense that has downplayed class in favor of any number of ‘flavor-of-the-day’ identity pretenses, an articulation that includes an infectiously hilarious first installment of an English YouTube phenom that makes this point in scatalogical and scathing fashion, available through its own portal too, in so doing fitting more or less seamlessly with the Broadway hit Hamilton‘s producers’ and cast’s having lectured the Vice President Elect about these matters in New York, eventualities to which ever scrappy scribe and stalwart citizen might pay close attention if they value not only their comprehension of things but also their effectiveness as actors in life’s struggles and opportunistic frenzies afoot just now.
